Payroll

Purpose

The Payroll utility manages employee compensation records — tracking wages, withholdings, deductions, and employer contributions for accurate payroll bookkeeping.

Usage

/bookkeeping:payroll <project>

What It Does

1. Records gross wages by employee and pay period
2. Calculates withholdings (income tax, social security, medicare)
3. Tracks voluntary deductions (benefits, retirement contributions)
4. Records employer-side payroll taxes and contributions
5. Produces payroll summaries by period

Output

• Payroll register by pay period
• Deduction and withholding summary
• Employer contribution totals
